100 New Jobs announced for Construction Company

Irelands largest public construction company BAM CONTRACTORS, have announced the launch of a recruitment campaign, in which they are seeking over 100 new employees, this includes engineers, cotract managers and quantity surveyors.

The company announced also that it had a strong year in 2011 generating turnover of €228million with a profit before tax of €4million.

BAM Contractors is already employing over 630 staff directly in Ireland, with a further 1400 employed indirectly but is seeking an additional 100 staff for future projects.

The Chief Executive of BAM, Theo Cullinane said the outlook for the 2012 financial year remains challenging but the company is confident it will continue to improve its position on the market.

“For next year, we predict enhanced opportunities in Ireland in public private partnership, healthcare, educational, pharmaceutical and foreign direct investment projects and BAM is well placed to win more of this business,” he said.

This is all welcome news and lets hope that its a trend that will become more common.
