A €200m “Masterplan” has been announced for LIT.
The establishing new exporting element at Irish Innovation Showcase. Earlier this year it was announced that a stimulus package was announced for the Limerick and Mid-West Region’s economy. And the €200million “Masterplan” being a part of it.
It was announced yesterday by Minister Jan O’Sullivan at LIT’s Limerick School of Art and Design, City centre campus.
The Investment will see and additional 50k sq m of facilities along with an extensive refurbishment of existing buildings.
It was also detailed that the campuses; Moylish Park HQ (LSAD) . LIT Tipperary campus in Thurles and Clonmel and New 7k metres campus at Coonagh Limerick.
The Masterplan will be the largest expenditure by a 3rd level Institute outside of the Dublin area.
Phase one,20m will commence Next year and include the development of a new Irish Fashion Incubator enterprise centre and reinvention of existing facilities
